Whether I’m on stage giving a keynote to a packed auditorium or in line at the grocery store, I love making people laugh. And, every laugh is driven by the desire to ensure people know they are valued.  

The past three years, I helped my husband’s carpentry business. I went from holding a microphone to holding drywall. I had to adapt quickly. And, because my husband relied on me to communicate to the trades, I had to be heard. With my YES AND attitude, the significant changes in my life were easier to handle. And, today, I feel like a pro! However, you don’t want me to swing a hammer, I’ll hurt myself.

For women in construction, the challenges of discrimination, isolation and harassment are prevalent. This causes women to give up too soon, become disappointed and even overwhelming stress. Too often we have a you talk, then I talk routine. We need more you share, I agree to hearing you and then I respond.

My programs help women in construction by teaching them simple and easy tips to become a better communicator. By teaching women how to change the way you engage in conversations, women will be ready to respond, even in difficult times. When it comes to being heard, I teach effective listening skills by being in the moment. Using improv principles, women will take away inspiration to tackle challenges back in the field. Oh and I’m funny. Yeah, really funny.

My high energy and engaging keynotes and workshops will hands down inspire women with new tools for their tool belt. Put a nail in resistance, judgment and impatience by understanding how to communicate with a positive spin. Even in challenging scenarios.

The key, is learning two simple words, YES AND. I love helping women realize this!
